  • boneless pork shoulder400 g
  • daikon radish10 cm (300 g)
  • boiled egg2
  • vegetable oil1 tablespoon

  • sake1 tablespoon
  • mirin2 tablespoons
  • sugar1 tablespoon
  • soy sauce2 teaspoons
  • miso2 tablespoons

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the eggs and boil for 10 minutes, then remove them. When cool enough to handle, peel them. Peel the daikon and cut it into bite-size pieces. Cut the pork shoulder loin block into bite-size pieces.

Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Add the pork shoulder loin and cook until browned.

Add the water, sake, mirin, sugar, and soy sauce, and stir to combine. Add the daikon, cover, and cook over medium heat for about 35 minutes.

Add the miso and boiled eggs. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
