- boneless chicken thigh2 (500 g)
- sake1 tablespoon
- salt and peppera pinch
- vegetable oil1 tablespoon
☆ Sauce
- mirin1 ½ tablespoon
- sake1 tablespoon
- sugar1 teaspoon
- soy sauce1 ½ tablespoon
For finishing
- salt and peppera pinch

Cut the chicken into bite-size pieces. Put the chicken in a bowl, add the sake and salt and pepper, and rub it in. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Divide the chicken into 6 equal portions and thread each portion onto a bamboo skewer to make 6 skewers in total. Repeat to make 6 skewers in total.

Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Arrange the chicken skewers from step 1 in the pan, cover, and steam-fry over medium-low heat for about 3 minutes.

Remove the lid, flip the skewers, and cook over medium heat until the chicken is cooked through. Turn them as needed to brown both sides. Remove half of the yakitori and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Add the sauce ingredients to the pan and simmer, coating the remaining skewers well.
