Brigadeiro means "brigadier" in Portuguese. It is made by mixing condensed milk, butter, and cocoa powder, then coating it with chocolate sprinkles. It is said to have gotten its name because its appearance resembles a brigadier's black uniform. Unlike chocolate truffles, it has a uniquely rich, milky flavor that is absolutely delicious.
