  • melted unsalted butter40 g
  • light brown sugar40 g
  • salta pinch
  • egg yolk1
  • cake flour80 g
  • baking soda1 g
  • chocolate chips80 g
  • milk1 tablespoon

Preheat the oven to 350°F (170°C).

Put the melted butter in a bowl, add the raw cane sugar and salt, and whisk well until combined. Add the egg yolk and mix until slightly pale.

Note:

Use the melted butter while it is still warm, about 105°F (40°C).

Sift in the cake flour, add the baking soda, and fold with a rubber spatula until crumbly. Add the chocolate chips and milk, and fold until the dough comes together.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then use a spoon to drop the dough onto it in 8 portions. Bake in the preheated 350°F (170°C) oven for 10 to 15 minutes.

Note:

Leave space between each portion, as the cookies will spread while baking. If they are still lightly colored, bake a little longer.
