Here’s a simple avocado toast recipe. It’s seasoned with just lemon juice and salt! Enjoy the rich flavor of avocado with the refreshing brightness of lemon. For toppings, try adding fresh cheese or sprinkling on a spicy seasoning if you like. Rye bread, with its toasty aroma, pairs especially well with avocado.

Instructions
1
Cut the avocado lengthwise all the way around and split it in half. Remove the pit and peel. Place it in a bowl and mash it with a fork. Squeeze in the lemon juice, add the salt, and mix well to make an avocado spread.
Note:
Use a ripe avocado.
2
Place the rye bread on a foil-lined baking sheet and toast it in a toaster oven until lightly browned.
3
Divide the avocado spread from step 1 evenly over the rye bread from step 2 and spread it on. Transfer to a plate, then drizzle evenly with Toppings (olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper).
