Finely chop the onion.
2
Cut the block bacon into thin 3 mm strips.
3
Put the ingredients marked with ☆ into a heatproof container and mix well to make the soup.
4
Add the olive oil to a frying pan and heat over medium heat. Add the onion and bacon, and sauté until the onion softens. Add the rice and continue sautéing until it becomes slightly translucent.
Note:
Use the rice without rinsing it.

Note:
Do not stir too much, or the risotto will turn mushy.

The cheese is rich and delicious. Next time, I’ll try adding shimeji mushrooms.

It took more than twice as long to simmer while adding the soup, but the cheese flavor soaked into the rice and it was very delicious. I think I might get hooked on this.

Getting it al dente was difficult, but the flavor was really delicious. This time I topped it with maitake mushrooms. I also thought adding more grated cheese to taste would work well. As others have said, if you follow the stated time, the rice was still almost raw. For me, it took about 25 minutes of cooking after adding the uncooked rice, and I needed an extra 100 cc of soup. I figured that made sense, since paella takes about that long too.

I made it from uncooked rice for the first time. I watched the rice as it simmered and cooked it until it still had a slight bite in the center, so it took longer than the recipe said. But it was easier than I expected, and I was able to make an authentic risotto!

Based on the reviews, I added extra water and simmered it! It was great that I could make it from uncooked rice and skip the hassle of cooking the rice separately in a rice cooker. The cheese was rich and delicious, too♪ I also tried adding shimeji mushrooms.

The rice tended to stay a bit hard in the center, so it surprisingly took quite a while to stir-fry. It was delicious. The amount was just right for two people.

I wanted that pleasantly grainy risotto texture, so I tried making risotto for the first time. The flavor was simple and really delicious, it was easy to make, and I’d definitely make it again. After 4 to 5 minutes, the rice still had a very firm core, so I simmered it for another 4 to 5 minutes and added about 200 ml more consomme soup.

I made this again even though I made it last week. Since it was my second time, I added shimeji mushrooms, carrots, and barley rice too. It turned out really delicious. As expected, it took longer than the recipe says, and I think it needed more soup, but it was truly delicious.

I added tomatoes and shrimp! It turned out really delicious. I didn’t have any cooked rice, so I really appreciated a recipe I could make starting with uncooked rice. It took a little while for the rice to fully cook through, though.
