Time

approx. 20mins

Here’s an easy side dish you can make just by marinating the ingredients in seasonings. The sweet-tart combination of tomatoes and vinegar is irresistibly delicious! It’s great served as is, but we also recommend topping a salad with it or serving it on toast. [Reduced-salt recipe] *Please see the Q&A for details on reducing salt.

1 tomato Slice 50 g of new onion with a slicer. Mash and add 1/2 pickled plum. Change the sugar and vinegar to 1 tbsp sushi vinegar. Do not soak the onion in water 🙆‍♀️ My husband reacted like it was even more delicious than he had imagined 👍

It’s easy and makes a perfect palate cleanser. I was getting tired of eating tomatoes raw as-is. Also, I had some vinegared tomatoes at a restaurant before and they were delicious, so I copied that and peeled the skin. For 1 tomato, I used 1/4 onion. I made the seasonings exactly half the amount. The vinegar flavor really came through, which I liked. I’ll make it again!

It was a lifesaver because I could make it so easily just by cutting everything up and tossing it together. It was light and refreshing, and absolutely delicious! ( ・ㅂ・) ̑̑

It was delicious. It got rave reviews for tasting like the kind of dish you’d find at Bronco Billy!

I was amazed at how incredibly delicious it was, even without onion and with only a few minutes of marinating time!
